[He asks, as if Edward had done the equivalent of bringing him a coffee or dessert from a cafe or something. Or maybe he's joking, but after a beat, he seems to realize how inappropriate that sort of question is given that this blood likely came from a possibly deceased victim--]
... Ah, no, I'm sorry, that came out wrong. You don't have to answer such an insensitive question.

His head lowers as he tries to recall the face of his victim; his lips purse.] I tried taking a more roundabout route to your home in hopes that I'd run into someone somewhere inconvenient. It... worked.
[At least it's not his own blood? Whatever. He got a nice rib bone out of the ordeal, the remnants of which are in his bag. He's still considering throwing it out once he leaves, but his teeth really need it.] I thought I'd have to end up eating meat like everyone else, but I guess I ended up with blood like you. It's... still hard to just take it from people, though.

[He's going to set it aside for now, instead gathering some papers on the table in front of him here so that they're better organized.]
Have you ever been to a therapy session before, by any chance? Or even just had someone at home that you could confide to about your worries?
no subject
He shrugs uncertainly.] A therapy session, no, definitely not. Sometimes I would talk to my brother or my, uh... boyfriend? About things that bothered me, but that was more in the "I'm trying to be more open with you" sense, and I usually didn't want to bog either of them down with things that won't affect them, so...
[So he never really said much.]
How does this sort of thing usually work?

[Danny nods along when Edward speaks, before he answers.]
During a therapy session, you can tell me anything you'd like: how are you feeling today, what your overall mood has been recently, any worries or interests you have lately, you get the idea. I'll ask questions so that I can understand some things further, but after I hear what you have to say, I can begin advising on what you can do in order to abate any concerns you may have going on. There's medications that a person can take in order to help their mental state, but I also like to try offering suggestions of activities or other methods a person can use instead, if they prefer. Are you with me so far?
